My interactive application "Playful Journal" is a playful exploration of the flood of visual impressions I encounter daily on Instagram. Over a period of three months, I collected all my favorited posts to track my consumption. The application allows you to engage with the collection in an experimental way. Generative compositions and overlays emerge through interaction with physical knobs. The intervals of the image sequences are regulated by soundscapes, which I recorded at locations where I was consuming social media. Together, this creates an experiential audiovisual world that frames how my taste as a graphic designer evolves through social media.
